One of the workers is Matilde (Helena Ezquerro), a young woman from a humble family who lives with her mother, Rosario (Miryam Gallego), and her three siblings. She arrives looking for work at La Moderna, one of the most elegant caf\u00e9s in Madrid. Before entering, she runs into I\u00f1igo (Almagro San Miguel), her teenage love, a young man she hasn&#8217;t seen for eight years, since the tragic death of Matilde&#8217;s father interrupted their newborn love story. I\u00f1igo is now a well-off young man, right-hand man to Don Jaime (Jos\u00e9 Lu\u00eds Garc\u00eda-P\u00e9rez), one of the city&#8217;s most important businessmen.
