Its shape followed those of Zaragoza and Granada, being one of the few octagonal bullrings in Spain. Today, the arena has been replaced by a park and the old boxes have been converted to houses. The<strong> Plaza del Viejo Coso,<\/strong> the murderer's residence, was the first bullring in Valladolid and one of the few octagonal bullrings in Spain. One of the most exciting passages of the series begins in the <strong>Plaza de San Pablo,<\/strong> a fast-paced chase scene with the church of San Pablo\u2014with its imposing Isabelline Gothic-style fa\u00e7ade\u2014in the background. The fictitious traces of Augusto Ledesma and Ramiro Sancho reach the church of <strong>Santa Mar\u00eda La Antigua <\/strong>whose tower is, without a doubt, a peculiar motif of the monumental physiognomy of the city.
