It is a monastery founded in 1162, whose construction began in the last decades of the 12th century, but more modern transitional or fully Gothic rooms were added in the latter centuries. ","localizacion_rutas":"The<strong> Cistercian Monastery of Santa Mar\u00eda de Huerta<\/strong> served as the palace of Henry IV in <em>Chimes at Midnight<\/em>. Part of the key sequence of the film was filmed in its Gothic refectory: the coronation of Henry V and his repudiation of Falstaff, masterfully played by Orson Welles.<br><br>This monastery is the only one preserved in the province of Soria, inhabited by twenty monks of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance (OCSO). Declared a National Monument in 1882, its origins date back to the 12th century. Construction of the complex began at the end of the 12th century and was completed in the 13th century.
