Registered within the so-called Duero Romanesque, it was built by a single master and, presumably, completed in 1174, coinciding with the reign of Alfonso VII. The hallmark of the Zamora Cathedral is its spectacular dome of Byzantine influence and with stone scales. It is a perforated drum with 16 stained glass windows on which two domes rise: an internal semicircular, gallon-shaped one and an external, slightly pointed one.
