In 1966, in this area of Santo Domingo de Silos, the final sequence of \"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly\" (Sergio Leone, 1966) was filmed.\nIn 2016, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the filming, the Sad Hill Cultural Association rebuilt the place that until then was forgotten. Today, it has recovered all its visual strength. It has a 360\u00ba camera shot totally free of modern elements (antennas or wiring).","localizacion_rutas":"The Sad Hill Cemetery in the Mirandilla Valley was built in 1966 by 250 soldiers for the iconic final sequence of <em>The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,<\/em> the third film in Sergio Leone's <em>Dollar Trilogy. <\/em>The director wanted to evoke a Roman circus to add drama to the scene, set to the rhythm of Ennio Morricone's The <em>Ecstasy of Gold.<\/em> In Leone's own words, \"The sequence of the duel between the three next to that cemetery, which evokes the image of Roman coliseums, makes me particularly proud of that film [...] And with a morbid twist, since it was the dead who witnessed the spectacle.
