The initiative is part of the 4th Shooting Locations Marketplace event, organized by the Valladolid Trade Fair in conjunction with the Spain Film Commission, and sponsored by the Regional Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Sport of the Government of Castilla y Le\u00f3n, in its commitment to supporting the audiovisual sector and attracting productions to the region.<\/p>\n

The familiarization trip took place from October 17-22 and included ten location scouts, producers, and art directors from the United Kingdom, Scotland, Belgium, the United States, and Germany\/Rome, accompanied by a representative from the Valladolid Trade Fair and Kristine Guzm\u00e1n, a technician from the Castilla y Le\u00f3n Film Commission. For six days, the group had the opportunity to experience some of Castilla y Le\u00f3n’s most outstanding locations firsthand. <\/p>\n

The trip took them to the provinces of Valladolid, Burgos, Soria, and Segovia. They visited urban environments as well as various wineries along the Duero River Route, historical buildings such as Pe\u00f1afiel Castle, the Ducal Palace of Lerma,<\/span> the gardens of La Granja and the Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos; medieval towns such as Calata\u00f1azor, Ayll\u00f3n, Sep\u00falveda, and Pedraza; Modern architecture such as the Business Innovation and Development Center (CIDE) in Segovia, and unique locations like the Sad Hill Cemetery in the province of Burgos, the Durat\u00f3n River Gorge in Segovia, and the R\u00edo Lobos Canyon in Soria.<\/span>These familiarization trips are a good opportunity to disseminate what a place can offer in terms of unique destinations and the infrastructure and services available in a place so that they can be considered in future audiovisual projects.<\/p>\n
