In the summer of 1977, a political prisoner living in exile recounts the circumstances of his escape to a reporter: in April 1976, a group of ETA members plans to escape from prison, but the project fails when the guards discover the tunnel they are digging. The inmates, far from being discouraged, begin a second tunnel. After eight months of difficulties, they manage to escape. Given the delicate circumstances of the last months of Franco’s regime and the awakening of the first buds of democracy, the group’s escape had surprising consequences. (FILMAFFINITY)
