Cairo, 1917. During the Great War (1914-1918), T.E. Lawrence (Peter O’Toole), a conflicted and enigmatic British officer, is sent to the desert to participate in a campaign supporting the Arabs against Turkey. He and his friend Sherif Ali (Omar Sharif) put their all into this mission. The natives adore Lawrence because he has amply demonstrated his love of the desert and the Arab people. However, his British superiors believe he has gone mad. (FILMAFFINITY)
