In a town in the Urbión mountain range, the brothers Juan and Martín, motivated by greed and instigated by Candelas, Martín’s wife, murder their father and sink the body in the Black Lagoon. In the town they consider him missing. From then on, he will place a curse on their lands and on their lives. The story inspired by Antonio Machado’s poem “The Land of Alvargonzález”, included in the book “Campos de Castilla” (1912). (FILMAFFINITY)
