The municipality of Arahuetes is located approximately 42 km from the city of Segovia. It is made up of the population centers of Arahuetes and Pajares de Pedraza, with a total of 28 inhabitants (INE 2021). Within its municipal area there are up to eight uninhabited areas, such as Santa Águeda, where the old Council of Yertega was located, or Santas Justa and Rufina, which preserves the ruins of the old Romanesque hermitages, demonstrating the importance that this area had in the Middle Ages.
