In the extreme south of the province of Ávila, at the foot of the Sierra de Gredos and just two and a half hours from Madrid, is Candeleda, a town with just 5,000 inhabitants. Its cobbled streets with traditional architecture and its spectacular natural pools stand out. Due to its location in plains and with the coverage provided by the central massif of Gredos, there is a remarkable variety of microclimates as evidenced by the palm and orange trees that adorn its streets.
