Located within Spain's largest coniferous forest, it boasts stunning landscapes framed by the Sierra de Urbión Natural Park. It is the first municipality in the province of Soria on the Duero River, which flows through the town after passing under a bridge at its entrance. Stone buildings predominate in the local architecture, and many manor houses still bear coats of arms that recall the town's prosperous past.
