The town is known for its caves and springs, as it is located near the Mamblas Mountain Range, in the heart of the Arlanza River valley. Speleologists come to the town to discover some of its magical places, such as the Fuente Azul, an important flooded cave with the deepest siphron – submerged gallery – in Spain: 165 metres.
