Located in the province of Burgos, the Arlanza River surrounds the ruins of the historic Monastery of San Pedro Arlanza, an artistic testimony of the Romanesque. Founded and dedicated by Count Gonzalo Téllez and his wife Doña Lambra to Saint Peter, on January 12, 912. Renovated in the 17th and 18th centuries in its double cloister, and hostel dependency, but not escaping the terrible confiscation. The Church has the layout of a Romanesque temple and on the outside the influence of late Romanesque can be seen.
