The town of Torrelobatón is located in the Torozos Mountains, in the western part of the province of Valladolid. Without a doubt, its imposing castle, the work of the Enríquez family, Admirals of Castile and a typical example of a 15th century stately fortress, is the town's greatest attraction. A building of undoubted beauty, it stands on the modest hill that dominates the town. It was taken by the 'comuneros' in 1521.
