Castilla y León Film Commission will participate on October 15 and 16 in the Shooting Locations Marketplace, organized by the Feria de Valladolid and the Spain Film Commission, in collaboration with the Junta de Castilla y León.
Castilla y León Film Commission works directly with location agents, art directors, and producers. Castilla y León also has a significant network of Film Commissions and Film Offices throughout the region, which aim to meet all filming needs.
The fifth edition of the Shooting Locations Marketplace incorporates new filming destinations and companies in the sector, in addition to the participation of industry professionals with 66 destinations from 12 countries, 19 companies, and 68 location agents, producers, and creatives from 24 different countries. Furthermore, for the first time, it will feature film commissions and location agents from the East, with countries such as Thailand, South Korea, and the Saudi region of Al-Ula and Kurdistan; and in another geographical area, the Ibero-American Network of Film Commissions. This year, the number of private companies increases, with 19 companies of different profiles: recording studios, hotels, and filming service providers from Spain, Portugal, Jordan, Estonia, and Hungary.
The Shooting Locations Marketplace program includes a series of conferences and roundtable discussions analyzing topics such as the strength of Asian locations for international productions, the search for new locations, and the challenges of being competitive in the global market. In addition, Castilla y León Film Commission will moderate a roundtable discussion entitled “Hidden Treasures Around the World,” with the participation of the film commissions of Kurdistan, The Netherlands, Slovakia, and IBEROFIC (Ibero-American Network of Film Commissions).
