Teresa (Carmen Machi) watches Fuentejuela de Arriba, the small mountain village where she has lived her entire life, fade away. But the town receives an unexpected visitor: a group of misplaced Africans appear in the snow… their arrival shocks the village. Teresa is clear: fleeing a situation of exploitation into which they had been tricked, the Africans want to stay in Spain by any means necessary… and that could be the solution to the problem of the town’s lack of inhabitants. With the help of her friends Jaime (Pepón Nieto) and “Guiri” (Jon Kortajarena), she decides to hide them and devise a plan. Turning prejudices and expectations upside down, the newcomers and the local inhabitants will work together to ensure their home continues to exist.
