Juan Miranda and John Mallory, an IRA veteran, meet in Mexico and plan to work together robbing banks. One day they blow up a prison thinking it was a bank. The explosion frees the imprisoned revolutionaries, and both become heroes of the revolution. Shortly after, government troops, commanded by Colonel Gutiérrez, begin to follow in their footsteps.
