Declared a Historic Artistic Site in 1964 and winner of the Municipal Tourist Award of the Province of Soria on two occasions. Medinaceli is nestled in the mountains at an altitude of 1,210 m in Alto Jalón, between the Duero, Ebro and Tajo river basins in the foothills of the Central System, with magnificent views of the Iberian System and the Camino Cidiano in the Arbujuelo Valley. Within its walls, there are monuments from centuries past that have hardly been altered, such as the Roman Arch, the Plaza Mayor, the Convent of Santa Isabel and the Ducal Palace.
