An 11-part TV series set during the reign of Joseph I Bonaparte (1808-1813). Carlos Zárate, a nobleman from a wealthy family, returns to Spain to find the country invaded by Napoleon’s troops. His brother Diego informs him of his father’s tragic death after a confrontation with the feared Captain Graco, but conceals from him the clandestine actions he carries out behind a black mask. Upon coming into contact with the resistance, he embarks on a series of adventures in support of a popular uprising against the French, which culminates in the Peninsular War (1808-1814).
