In the 13th century, desolation and misery drive the inhabitants of a village in the Pyrenees to emigrate to Burriana, in Valencia, a region considered the Promised Land. During the journey, love, hate, and suffering will jeopardize their arrival at their longed-for destination. At the same time, they will become embroiled in the war waged by King James I to reconquer these lands from the Muslims. Reaching the end of their journey will be an odyssey.
