In 1997 in Pereruela (Zamora) traditional fireware was still being made by hand and without a wheel, as in primitive times. At that time, Olegaria was the only woman who continued to bake her pieces in a wood-fired oven. With her we were able to learn about this entire artisanal process, from the selection and collection of the earth, the preparation of the pieces, and the cooking in the wood oven.
