Ana spent her youth in the Abdalajís Valley (Málaga). But her life took a dramatic turn, and together with a group of courageous and determined women, she began charitable work for the most needy, especially abandoned elderly people, orphans, and vulnerable individuals. Eventually, she would found the Congregation of the Mothers of the Abandoned of Saint Joseph of the Mountain. Thirty years after her death, her remains were stolen during the Spanish Civil War.
