The Sky Turns

Largometraje / Feature film

Year: 2004

Director: Mercedes Álvarez

Producer: Jose María Laras, Alokatu S. L

Award-winning mix of drama and documentary that tells the daily life of the last and elderly inhabitants of a small village in Spain; In Aldealseñor, a small town in the high moors of Soria, there are today 14 inhabitants. They are the last generation, after a thousand years of uninterrupted history. Today, life goes on. Soon, it will be extinguished without a fuss and without more witnesses. The residents of Aldealseñor and the work of the painter Pello Azketa share something in common: things have begun to disappear right before their eyes. The narrator returns to her origin and witnesses that ending while she tries to recover a first image of the world, of childhood. (FILMAFFINITY)
