Almudena is an experienced Director of Photography based in Madrid. She graduated in Photography Direction from the prestigious EICTV (Cuba). She also holds a degree in Audiovisual Communication from the UCM.
For 20 years, she has filmed fiction and documentary projects, traveling around the world. Her most recent projects include the feature-length documentary “No estás sola: la lucha contra la manada” (You Are Not Alone: The Fight Against the Pack), directed by Almudena Carracedo and Robert Bahar, winner of the 2024 Ondas Award for Best Documentary and nominated for the 2024 Goya Awards. Also notable is her work as second unit photography director for the successful Netflix fiction series “Machos Alfa” (Alpha Males), produced by Contubernio and directed by Laura Caballero.
Her latest feature-length fiction film, “Notes for a Consented Fiction,” directed by Ana Serret and produced by Tandem Films and Atiende Films, will be released in 2025. Other directors with whom she has collaborated include Miguel Albaladejo, Chus Gutiérrez, Jorge Muriel, Manu Castillo, Roberto Monge, and Miguel Bardem.
Since 2014, she has been a professor of cinematography at the ECAM (National Academy of Cinematography). She serves on the board of directors of the AEC (Spanish Association of Cinematographic Producers) and is an active member of the Film Academy.
