Bridge

A beautiful bridge that is located near the walled area, in the southern part of this city. A bridge capable of connecting the 'decuman' gate to the west with the opposite bank of the river. Of the primitive Roman bridge, only the abutments remain hidden at the edges. The present bridge is from the 12th century, a time of splendor of the city. It currently has three arches supported by piles with ashlars reused from the Roman necropolis. The cutwaters correspond to that period with later consolidation actions.
