It is, along with the Church, the most emblematic building in the town. The 15th-century Gothic building is closely related to the former; they are almost united. The floor plan is pentagonal, with graceful, slender towers rising from the angles, each with a varied geometry. Three towers stand out: one circular, another square, and a third hexagonal; the latter a symbol of nobility, hence its greater height. A patrol-surveillance path parallel to the row of battlements runs along the perimeter of the castle.
