ETSAVA, founded in 1968, is the fourth School of Architecture in Spain and the only one in Castilla y León. Its current headquarters, designed by Antonio Fernández Alba, was established in 1975. Over the years, it has attracted students from various neighboring regions. The building presents an institutional architecture with academic symmetries and exposed brick facades. In 1987 a second building was added, with a different planimetry but connected by complex stairs and voids that allow the entry of overhead light and communication between the floors. ETSAVA is an important training center for architects with an outstanding architectural design.
