The first Cistercian monastery on the Peninsula. It was said to be founded in the year 1143, although there are discrepancies regarding this date. It was refounded from a convent from the late 9th century. The church dates back to the 12th century and is Gothic. The head of the church has three levels: one with seven small apses, another composed of the ambulatory and the last, the apse of the Main Chapel.
