The Museo del Petróleo is the first museum of its kind in Spain. It is also one of the interpretive centers within the Las Loras Geopark Project, which allows visitors to get a clear idea of how our territory was formed over the last 250 million years, also inviting them to discover other natural and historical spaces close to the Loras. The Museum is a building that houses several spaces dedicated to understanding how and where oil originated, how it is extracted and the derivative products that we obtain from it. It also has a specific area for the Campo de Ayoluengo, the only onshore oil field in Spain, where its origins, evolution and current operation are discussed.
