The Úzquiza reservoir, like the so-called Arlanzón reservoir located less than 10 kilometers upstream, serves to regulate the Arlanzón River, sharing the important task of guaranteeing the supply of drinking water to the city of Burgos and other towns. This functional unit is perfectly integrated into nature. In its waters, almost all nautical sports are allowed, with the exception of motor navigation.
