Yanguas is located in the region of the Highlands of Soria. Of pre-Roman origin, it gained importance during the Wars of Rome against Numancia. Of interest is its architecture based on ashlar (slate or flagstone), masonry and wooden and rammed earth frameworks, of notable uniformity, as well as stately buildings and the Plaza Mayor.
