Castilla y León Film Commission attended the 36th European Film Market (EFM) in Berlin under the umbrella of the Spain Film Commission. The European Film Market took place from February 15 to 21 in parallel to the prestigious 74th edition of the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), and is one of the three most important international film market fairs because it brings together different film agents from the audiovisual industry such as producers, creators, film commissions and film institutes. It is a great place to connect with industry professionals and establish networks.
In the iconic Martin Gropius Bau building, a large “Cinema from Spain” space has been set up with several work tables for government entities or private companies, such as distributors. Castilla y León Film Commission, together with 14 other members from the Spain Film Commission, had networking sessions with the objective of offering locations of each territory, as well as information about the advantages of filming in Spain, such as tax incentives, so as to boost the audiovisual industry outside Spanish borders.
