The objective is to promote Castilla y León as a filming destination in MAFIZ, the industry area of the 27th Malaga Festival.
The Council of Culture, Tourism and Sports has among its objectives to promote the territory of Castilla y León as a filming territory, which is why the Film Commission will be present at the Málaga Festival Industry Zone, which will take place from March 4 to 8 at the Hotel NH Malaga.
The Council will have a promotional stand where it will inform and advise on locations and will hold professional meetings in order to seek collaborations and alliances. At this stand, a promotional video of the locations in Castilla y León will be shown. The Line-Up of recent and ongoing audiovisual projects in the Community will be also be featured.
Alongside the promotion of Castilla y León as a filming territory, is the objective of facilitating the participation of Castilian and Leonese production companies and the dissemination and promotion of the Community’s cinematography throughout the international audiovisual market.
The participation in the Málaga Festival Industry Zone has been possible thanks to the collaboration of the Junta de Castilla y León with the Málaga Festival. Through this collaboration, production companies from Castilla y León have been able to be accredited at zero cost through the Spanish Screenings Content platform, which will reach its 18th edition in 2024, and is the only official market for the sale and promotion of Spanish cinema.
Within Spanish Screenings Content, two productions from Castilla y León, such as: “Secundarias” by Esgueva Films and “La Controversia de Valladolid” by OmniCorp Estudio, will be part of the Film Library, which will be available to buyers, programmers and accredited international producers.
