Set in England during the Hundred Years War (14th and 15th c). When Henry IV, the first monarch of the Lancastrian dynasty, ascends to the throne, his heir, the Prince of Wales, is befriended by Sir John Falstaff. The movie is an adaptation of several works by Shakespeare: Henry IV, Henry V, The Merry Wives of Windsor and Richard II.
