Pedraza is a small medieval walled town of great beauty. It has many charming corners that can be discovered, such as numerous stately houses from the 16th century onwards, all of them well-conserved. Several vestiges of the town's defensive constructions dating from the 12th and 13th centuries are also preserved, such as the wall, the Villa Gate, the defensive barbican that was later used as a public prison, the castle, etc. It was declared a Historic Monumental Site in 1951.
