Picturesque for its location, on the edge of the moor that delimits Bureba to the west, and of urban morphology, Poza de la Sal was a fortified town, as shown by the well-preserved remains of the doors and walls of its impregnable castle, the fortress of Los Rojas, which dominates the town from above. The route of its cobbled streets with a strong medieval flavor is marked by buildings of great interest such as the Church of San Cosme and San Damián, in Gothic style with a Baroque façade, and the town hall, a 16th century building. Remains of the wall and its gates are also preserved, such as the Arco Conjuradero, the main gate of the town; the Puerta Alta and the Plaza Nueva.
