Spain, reign of Philip IV (1621-1665). Inspired by a novel by Gonzalo Torrente Ballester, the King is stupefied when he sees the naked body of Marfisa, the most beautiful prostitute in the city and court. He then tries to see the Queen naked as well. Despite the opposition and scandal of the Church, the King will not stop until his wishes are fulfilled.
